If your Gateway 3200s computer has been attacked by a virus, or worse still; is infected with a virus which you cannot remove, the best course of action is often to wipe your current installation and re-install from your Gateway 3200s Recovery CDs or Gateway 3200s Recovery Partition, and then install quality anti virus - anti spyware programs.
Please note; some viruses can exist in the Recovery Partition or can create their own partition.
If your Gateway 3200s PC is running slowly, the computer could also be infected with spyware, malware or adware. If this is the case; repairing the current Windows XP installation will not help because the repair process will not remove infections. Re-installing Windows will wipe the hard drive and should also remove - delete viruses, malware, spyware or Adware. It will also remove programs & utilities which may no longer be required.
Reinstalling almost always allows the computer to "run faster" and the user can re-install the programs that they actually want & use.
If your computer has a faulty hard disk drive (eg; if the hard drive cannot be "seen" by the computer, if it has bad sectors, bad blocks or is making a clicking or loud whirling noise), the best course of action is usually to completely replace the hard drive and restore Windows XP with the original software from your Gateway 3200s Recovery CD.
This process will involve replacing the hard drive and then placing the Gateway 3200s Recovery CDs in the CD ROM or DVD ROM drive and re-booting the system. The computer should then boot from the Gateway Recovery CDs and this will then return the computer to its original state (as new).

This Gateway 3200s Boot Fix Re-Image DVD simply reinstalls the original image of the Gateway 3200s Hard Drive Recovery facility (from DVD) and therefore allows you to fully reinstall your Gateway 3200s to its original factory settings (even if you have fitted a new hard disk drive).
Our Gateway 3200s Boot Fix Re-Image DVD will even work if you have a virus in the Gateway 3200s Recovery partition, because it overwrites the partition, thus killing the virus.
How to use these CDs;
Boot from the Gateway 3200s Boot Fix Re-Image DVD and follow the onscreen instructions to completely erase the Gateway 3200s Hard Disk Drive.
The Gateway 3200s Boot Fix Re-Image DVD will automatically recreate a Gateway 3200s XP Home Edition Recovery partition.
Remove the DVD and restart the computer.
The PC will restart and will fully reinstall the correct (Gateway build) of Windows XP Home Edition etc from the Gateway 3200s Recovery partition.
When complete, use the supplied Gateway 3200s Drivers CD to reinstall any missing drivers.
